OX Timber Frame Homes is a West of Ireland specialist designing, manufacturing and erecting timber frame homes and residential developments all across Ireland.

Based in Ballina, Co. Mayo, our team works with self-builders creating one-off homes, as well as builders and developers delivering larger residential projects across the whole country.

With more than 25 years of hands-on construction experience, including years working with timber frame in the US, we bring practical knowledge to every part of the process. From reviewing the first architectural drawings and preparing the timber frame design to manufacture, delivery and frame-up on site, every stage is handled with care and close attention to detail.

We understand that, for many self-builders, this is the biggest project they will ever take on. They want to know what is included, what happens next and who they can contact when they have a question. That is why we place so much importance on being clear, approachable and easy to deal with throughout the build.

For builders and developers, we understand the need for accurate scheduling, reliable delivery and consistent workmanship across every unit. Our experience helps us anticipate challenges, work closely with the wider project team and keep the timber frame element moving according to programme.

Every frame begins with the plans for that particular project. We do not expect the design to fit a standard system. Instead, we develop the timber frame around the home or development being built, while considering its structure, insulation, airtightness and overall performance.
